What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant (VA) provides administrative and/or personal support to clients -- entrepreneurs, small business owners and independent professionals -- without having to be physically present in their office.  Virtual assistance promotes long-term, collaborative partnerships between the Virtual Assistant and the client, and easily skips over geographical barriers with the use of communication media (phone, fax and Internet) that allows people to be in touch as easily as if they were sitting across the desk from one another.

Why work with a Virtual Assistant?

There are numerous benefits of working with a VA:

  • You get a partner who has a vested interest in your business and wants to help you succeed.
  • You have more time to focus on the things that are really important to you, such as working a more balanced schedule or growing your business.
  • You don't have to deal with with payroll taxes, or providing insurance, equipment or office space since your VA isn't on your payroll.
  • You pay only for the amount of time you use a VA's services, writing one check at the end of the month.

Why work with virtualme, inc.?

My clients choose to work with me because we share the same values and work ethic.  They see me as a professional and equal partner in our business relationship, not their employee.  We each find the arrangement fulfilling because I choose to work with my clients as much as they choose to work with me.  My decision to work with them is based on my interest in what they do and my desire to partner with them for success!

What can I expect to pay a Virtual Assistant?

VAs price their services based on their skills, the services in which they specialize, their experience and their reputation.  In general, you can expect to pay an AssistU graduate between $30 and $70 per hour.  Please keep in mind that virtual assistance was not developed to be a low-cost alternative to hiring an employee, but rather a convenient alternative.  If you're looking for cheap labor, hiring a virtual assistant is probably not the right fit for you.

How much does it cost to work with virtualme, inc.?

I work exclusively with clients who are ready for the kind of partnership that requires us to work very closely together during any month, where there are likely to be many hours of my time required, and who are committed to having me on retainer consistently.  My fees are arranged on a retainer basis at a minimum of $500 per month, requiring an obligation from the client of at least ten hours per month.
